Here we go again – Spoilers for the Killing Eve finale
Just when we thought we were over this sh-t, the writers of amazing TV show Killing Eve screw up, like they really really screw us. It’s 2022 and we’re back to #BuryYourGays again. You’d think TV writers would know how to stop this, how to at least think about it, how to follow the source material and not just bump off gay characters when they don’t need to, but here we are again… back to Clexa. Back to that pain.
As a huge Killing Eve fan I am devastated by the character ending. Particularly given in the book they both survive and get a happy ending. Why on earth would you not just do that? If it was to tie in to the Carolyn Martens spin-off, they’ve actually damaged that now, because it’s going to be VERY difficult to like that character going forward and I loved her before.
Anyway, that was my mini rant, sick and tired of the bury your gays trope, it just gets on my nerves, it’s 2020 for goodness sake! TV writers STOP DOING THIS!!!!
