The scifi blaster prop build challenge. Scraps into a scifi blaster pistol:
Martin over at the Facebook group Geeky Blinders set out a challenge, build a sci-fi inspired blaster for under $5 with scraps. Here’s what I came up with.
A mag from an old Lanard blaster, a flint spark toy blaster scrap. Some old foam darts (the nice buzzbee solid foam ones), some glue, some paint and bob’s your blaster.
It’s not overly pretty and it’s not the initial color scheme I wanted to go with, but it’s okay for a few bucks and time. If you want to see the process behind it, check out the video below.
