The One I Couldn’t Bring Myself to Paint
As soon as I saw this Darth Vader model in a hoodie and modern clothes, I knew I had to print it.
I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and there was just something about seeing one of cinema’s most iconic villains dressed like he’d wandered into a shopping centre on a Saturday afternoon that made me smile.
The print came out beautifully, but I ran into an unexpected problem.
The filament I used looked so good that I couldn’t bring myself to paint it.
The original plan was to prime and paint the model, but once it was sitting there finished, I decided it was staying exactly as it was. Sometimes a print just has a look that works straight off the printer, and this was one of those times.
That does mean I’ll probably have to print another one someday using a plain filament so I can actually paint it as intended.
Until then, Hoodie Vader has earned a permanent spot on the shelf—a fun little reminder that even Sith Lords deserve a casual day off now and then.

May the Force be with you. 😄
