Hi! This page explains what information GG’s GameRoom (girlygamer.com.au) collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: I only collect what helps me understand how the site is used and keep it running smoothly, and I never sell your information.
Who I am
GG’s GameRoom is a personal gaming, board game and making website run by GG from the Gold Coast, Australia. You can reach me any time at hello@ggsgameroom.com.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use it, for example which posts are popular, roughly where visitors are from, and what device or browser they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect this information, which is processed by Google and may be stored on servers outside Australia. I see this information as overall totals and trends, not as details about you personally, and I do not use it to identify anyone.

Comments
If you leave a comment, the site stores your name, email address, website (if you add one), your comment and your IP address. Your email is never shown publicly. Comments may be checked by Akismet, an automated spam-filtering service, which receives the comment details to decide whether they look like spam. If you tick the box to save your details, your browser keeps a cookie so you don’t have to fill them in again next time.
Embedded videos and content
Posts often include embedded YouTube videos and other content. These behave as if you’d visited the other website directly, so YouTube (Google) may collect information about you, use cookies and track how you interact with the video, especially if you’re logged in to your account there.
Stream Bingo
The Stream Bingo card remembers your progress in your own browser so you don’t lose your card if you refresh the page. That information stays on your device and isn’t sent to me.
Contacting me
If you email me, I’ll use your details only to reply to you and keep our conversation. I won’t add you to any mailing list or share your details without your permission.

- My website host, which stores the site and its data so it can run
I don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
How long information is kept
Comments and their details are kept for as long as the comment stays on the site. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in my Google Analytics account. Emails are kept as long as needed to reply and for my own records.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies using your browser settings
- Use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on mentioned above
- Ask me to see, correct or delete any personal information I hold about you, such as a comment, by emailing hello@ggsgameroom.com
