Female inspired Nerf Scout mods – Alyx Vance, Helena Cain
Just a quick update this weekend. The two Nerf Scouts I imported from the US are finished. Went with a female character inspired pair for this Nerf Mod project. First up some “Battlestar Galactica” blaster inspiration. This is Admiral Helena Cain’s sidearm / pistol. If only she’d had this when Number 6 / Gina Inviere went rogue on her ass. Ahh well, some might say it was well deserved. The Nerf Scout is really cool to mod because it’s a mostly flat work surface, making it not a total nightmare to sand (though there are a few fiddly bits). As you can see a military look works well also because it’s fairly realistic in its shape.

Next up the “Half Life” inspired Alyx Vance blaster pistol. Again the Nerf Scout is generally a great gun to mod, however this one was a nightmare. Live and learn with regards to paint types you use. I opted for a more expensive Tamiya paint for the orange, it leaked, dripped (even with separate thin layers) had a poor reaction with the painters tape and was generally an absolute mess. The only part to survive the expensive paint was the main undercarriage. That’s why the orange colors are different, two different paints.

As for everything else, no major problems.
I hope you’ve liked these latest Nerf paint job mods of the Nerf Scout.
